  1. What can I say?? Stunning. Stunning from start to finish. Perfection. And as always, a fantastic visual treat to go along with the flawless playing and singing. Great to hear a couple of new songs and perfect choices for other songs. We love you, Sigur Ros (and we love you, Kjartan). Thanks for a show we will always remember. Takk!

  2. I’m only 20 years old, but I’ve been to a lot of concerts over the past 5 years and last night really moved my soul. I drove 4 hours to see this show and didn’t get back to my dorm till 3am, but I would gladly do it again in a heartbeat. The integration of spectacular visuals and hypnotizing music created a show that only Sigur Rós was capable of. Last night was the most cohesive and enchanting show I have ever seen. If you ever have the chance to see them don’t even hesitate, you need to experience what their music is saying.

  3. Best show I’ve ever seen. My boyfriend who is your #1 fan even shed a tear. Such an amazing intimate show!!!

  4. Great show. I was a little annoyed at all the latecomers. It took them pretty much the whole 1st set to finally get seated. And then they all got back up for intermission. Oy! Besides that the show was truly fantastic!!

  5. Last night, three men making noise and melody – and singing in Icelandic or a made-up language – combined with a spectacular light show to make for a one-of-a-kind emotional experience for a guy who had no idea what was being sung, and hasn’t known for years. It didn’t matter in the least. The feeling I get listening to Sigur Ros is often more intense than what I feel listening to American bands. Thank you for the great show!

  6. My first Sigur Ros show and it won’t be my last. It was one of the most amazing and breath taking shows I have ever been to. Thanks for making such magic happen musically and visually

  7. My heart was on fire and my eyes were find with tears… seeing Jonsi onstage after so many years was riveting beyond description! It blew my mind and shook my soul… the best way to relay the magnificence it i found is this:

If the Galaxy was music, it would be Sigur Ros. If the Universe could sing, would be Jonsi.

    <3 Takk <3

  8. This was a pretty surreal experience for me. I’ve been listening to Sigur Ros for something like 16 years now (more than half mt life!), and I can say that, without question, they’ve become my favorite band. For years, I kept telling myself I needed to get to a show. In all that time, though, I never managed to see them live. So, being able to finally see a live show, in and of itself, was exciting. It was made even more special by the timing. My fiance and I are getting married next weekend and going to Iceland on our honeymoon. We decided on that long before the SR tour was even announced. When I saw the date and location of this show, I knew it was meant to be and that we absolutely had to go.

The sound was incredible. The show was visually stunning. My fiance said it was the type of show that even a deaf person could enjoy, which I think is saying something. I can state pretty unequivocally that this was the best concert I’ve personally been too, and it was made even more special by some of the personal events surrounding it. It was an incredible, emotional night and I loved every second. Takk!

  9. To Jónsi, Orri, Georg, the visual artists and the entire crew… from the recesses of my mind, from the bottom of my heart, from the depths of my soul… TAKK! Last night was a glorious work of art. I could hardly speak on the walk out of the theater. I cannot count how many times my eyes swelled up with tears during the show. I was sitting on the edge of my seat. Before the performance, the person sitting next to me was a perfect stranger. At the end of the show, we were so emotionally moved we were hugging and kissing each other. I’ve been lucky enough to experience many of my favorite artists live, but last night was indeed the most phenomenal show of my entire life. I will never forget the sound, the visuals, but most importantly how blown away you made me feel. If angels exist, Jónsi is surely one of them. Orri, I’ve not heard a better drummer anywhere. Georg, you are magnetic. I am only fluent in English, and the only Icelandic I know is what I’ve learned from listening to Sigur Rós… and in spite of these facts, I feel this music in my whole body, a cellular level… in my heart & soul. Again, takk. xoxoxo

  10. Yes that was the only downside to an absolutely magical night. I decided to just close my eyes when I felt myself being pulled out of the moment. More than anything it bothered me that the group could look out and see flashlights, entire rows having to stand, and people fiddling with printer pages walking up and down the aisle – more than a bit disrespectful when the show was very clearly communicated to start promptly at 8:30

  11. I agree. It was a bit frustrating. Wish they wouldn’t let people in past a certain time. I can’t imagine how it looked from the stage

  12. Still feeling high from the show! Absolutely cannot wait to see you again, Sigur Ros – <3 Please come back again real soon. And thanks for the beautiful sketchbook :-)

  13. Here is the review that I previously posted on Facebook:

“I keep wondering if the next time I see Sigur Rós live, it won’t be as sonically or visually stunning as the time before. Considering I silently cried through most of their first set last night (listen, I’ve had an emotional week), I think it’s safe to say they’ve still got it. And by still got it, I mean that if my emotions were strings, it’s like they pulled each and every string out of me. Sometimes gently and individually… love, joy, nostalgia. Sometimes violently ripping handfulls out at a time… rage, grief, despair. They yanked those strings out until I was hollow. And then they played them so intense and loud and beautiful that my empty internal cavern was echoing with the vibrations of it’s own emotional symphony. And then I melted into a puddle that needed to be mopped up.

Is anyone still with me here?

I think what I mean to say is that it’s never too late to see Sigur Rós live for the first time. Just go.”

  14. One of the greatest concerts , theater, performances I have ever witnessed in my 54 years on Earth. Just a pleasure in every conceivable way
