First time seeing Sigur Ros- one of my favourite bands- and it was every bit as good as I had hoped! Extraordinary music and an incredible projection/light show. Takk!

Wondrous soundscapes & visually stunning light projections. Sigur Ros were a treat for all the senses in Edinburgh last night. The performance of the summer for me!

Never seen or heard anything like it in my life. Unreal..

Amazing show, as ever. Unbelievable visuals, beautiful music. Just fantastic. Jonsi almost kicked the stage light into my face at the end mind you! The perils of sitting front and centre. I forgive you… ;)

3 years after those amazing concert I saw in Italy, part of the Valtari tour. And now, two days of you in a row. I didn’t know what to expect: Inside a theatre, instead of open-air, sitting instead of standing, no 8 hours queue to be in front of the stage.. The opening with those rough colorful digital visuals and the re-arrangements: Such a surprise! And then they arrive in front and the magic begins. Despite all those disrespectful people constantly walking in and out (beer pee beer pee? Seriously why don’t you stay home next time?) they give me goosebumps no matter what. It was rough and powerful and bloody amazing. Like everytime. Loved the Kveikur tracks. I had been waiting them for long. And Glosoli. And oh my god.. Ny Batteri. I would have stayed for ever.. Watching Orri giving birth to fire out of his drums, hearing Georg’s transe base lines and .. Silently singing every note with Jonsi. His angelic voice and his demoniac way of playing the guitar, when it’s time too. Their crescendo. Their climax. Only them!! Only them. And then, meeting them. Shaking hands with them. Finally.. A dream came true. This was my birthday and Christmas present altogether from myself to myself. And tonight, again. Go guys go! Till when there’s your Music to hear to, in this world, there’s still hope.
    Thanks ❤ Orri
    Grazie ❤ Georg
    Takk ❤ Jonsi

Simply mesmerising! I’ve been wanting to see them since I was about 10 years old, finally got to fulfill that wish last night. It did not disappoint. Takk!

Completely awe inspiring, it rocked my world, shifted Mt perspective and I’ve been floating since. Genuinely a life memory. Takk… X

  • My third time seeing sigur ros and again an amazing live experience. Without a doubt one of my favourite bands ever to see live. Amazing sounds and visuals.

An experience. Thank you for elevating me to somewhere beyond. Magical. For those of us who were there then we shall NEVER forget. Takk X

A wonderful concert, absolutely brilliant and stunning lights and projections. A great evening all round!

    Thank you

  • This was truly one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to. Sigur ros capture so many emotions in their music and after the struggle to get a ticket for a sold out concert… I can safely say it was 100% worth it.

It would be amazing to meet the band at somepoint in my life :)

Second time I’ve been lucky enough to see Sigur Ros and it was a completely different experience seeing you stripped back to the bare bones. Loved the sound and the production, hope you make it back to these shores soon.

  • Lee

    says:

The only world that comes to mind that can come close to describing seeing sigur rós is otherworldly. What’s even more impressive is that they managed to create such beautiful, textured soundscapes with just the three of them. I was also pleased by the variety of tracks performed, which spanned almost their entire discography. Add on a stunning stage display that ranks amongst the best I’ve seen and you get an extremely brilliant concert that I’ll be reminisicing about for a long time.

6th time seeing them and again.blew my mind. My favourite band ever. Truly life changing everytime !

I had an amazing experience at your show! I discovered you just a few months ago and I was told by the person who introduced me to your music to sell all my belongings to see your show if need be. Fortunately I didn’t need to do that.
It was evident from the show’s audience how your music appeals to all age groups and that is indeed very special.
The show was truly spectacular and the experience is something i’ll hold in my heart for a long time! Thank you so much!

  • Todd Smyth

    says:

Brill show! Lighting was incredible and the performance was perfect, and there was a great atmosphere. Look forward to seeing again!

Great event, great band, terrible venue, airplane seating is more comfortable and much respect to the band playing in that sweatfest. When the drummer goes tops off you need to switch the aircon on.

  • Antoinette Thirgood

    says:

Fantastic lighting and set design, emotional performance. I loved the themes of each song. I preferred the start and then second half of music but all so good. very talented – took me on a journey. thank you x

Have been listening to your music 1999 and you just get better and better. I didn’t think anything could top lying in the sun on the grass at Pukkelpop in Belgium listening to Staralfur .. But your show in Edinburgh did. Absolutely beautiful, awe inspiring composition – the harmonies and discord in turn were as changeable as a mood. I was so moved at times I realised I actually had to breathe. Completely captivated. A perfect cadence.

  • Christine

    says:

    Hey,
    I’m actually speechless

You make such beautiful inspiring art.

    Takk

It had been 8 years since I last saw Sigur Ros live at Latitude Festival and this was my 4th time seeing them adding to T in the Park and Glasgow Academy, just as special now as they always have been, thank you for an amazing gig

  • Peter Ryder

    says:

A remarkable experience which it is difficult to quarry out words to describe but then again Sigur Ros don’t really do words at least not in the way that most of us do. All our family – parents son and daughter -attended and all four were blown away including wife coming straight from a week of silent retreat…..The sort of music one might find in radio waves from Alpha Centaur, or maybe in a magma chamber beneath Mount Hekla, but rarely on the surface of the earth.Apocalyptically geomorphological

Visually I was awe struck with all the lights and effects. Sounded amazing also but personally I thought you missed having the whole backing band onstage for the stage presence more than anything. Wasn’t disappointed though and thoroughly enjoyed it!

  • ZeZe

    says:

Great concert and visuals – wish I’d bought tickets for both nights.

Untitled One and Ekki Mukk – unexpected and made me cry.
