to fans, this is the music god would make if he existed. to non-fans, whale-waffle. icelandic originals sigur rós may divide opinion, but the star rating betrays where 'lounge' stands. debut dvd 'heima' follows the softly-spoken lads on a homecoming tour, dropping into deserted fish factories, protest marches and the odd school to play their ethereal, euphoric pop. the music is extraordinary, the direction by dean deblois sublime - think malick doing mtv promos and you're almost there. heartfelt and humorous, if you're not puslating during the reykjavík finale you're probably kaput.
