Godan daginn, I just come back from Iceland for a 15 days trip. I was listening the last album when I travelled through the F26 Road. That was a mervellous moment for me and as a great fan of Sigur Ros, I would have like to see a concert in Iceland. I'm now back in France and I hope I can go to paris to see the concert on november. Well, to make a story short : Yesterday, I heard a few minutes of one of your songs (which I loved the feel of) on satelite tv. I tried to get the information on your band, but the song changed before I could write it down. I was quite dissapointed. Then, tonight, my sister calls, tells me about your band and to check it out. Of course, your name didn't ring a bell,.. but as soon as I pulled up "Agaetis Byrjun" (Heima) on youtube,.. well, all the bells were ringing! I can't tell you how excited I was,.. how excited I am! Of, course there is allways a downside. I paid 600 Norske kroner for just listening to your concert. I could have visited other concerts this day, but i do not need to listen to other bands than yours, so.... And, your concert only lasted for 1 hour and 20 minutes. This was my first "pop"- concert in twenty years, so i expected to last much longer. But, they said that a festival-concert didnt last much longer. My conclusion is that i will, in the future, only visit your concert if it is not a festival concert. This year i then have to go outside the nordic countries. I am having a monologue now. You know, the smallest girl in Amiina, is a genius. What she says i interviews is just extaordinary. She said something about making music out of sounds from the everyday life. I can, in fact, recognize Sigur Ros in fragments from the everyday life. When i hear a specific sound in the everyday life i can relate it to your music. Especially from the "Takk"-album. And, each time i am thinking about that girl in Amiina and what she said in that interview. It was from the DVD-collectin with only icelandic artists. She is a godess, that little girl.

I have allways thought that a concert should offer something more than the latest studio Album. I have to experience a concert with you and my chance this summer appeared at oyafestivalen in Oslo, the 7. of August. Of, course, i Appeared, with my anxiety for crowds and people and all the other stuff that comes with just being alive. And it was brilliant. The concert offered an extra dimension to your music. And even "Gobbledigook" ? was great. Your musical pieces grows each time i am listening to it. And, to do that i just fantastic. To see you at this concert, and to see Amiina, that was just joyfull. I love you with all my heart.

After listening to your new cd a couple of times i hav changed my view. "Med sud i Eyrum" is a musical masterpiece and the definitive highlight og the album. And, the second part of "Festival" is also fantastic. "Ara Batur" means "Robåt" in norwegian. And then i became more interested in the song. In my vacation i was talking to a lady at a library. And she said that all the ladies of that specific library had listened to the "Takk"-album and that they all liked it very much. I was impressed by that. So your music means much.

I saw yor film "heima" and we had a great trekking tour across iceland- the intuition came from your film with this amazing music! And at some places I have heard your music in my headset. Hi! This is a desperate appeal to Sigur Rós, or whoever has the power, to please make this dream come true. First of all, I love your work, it's an inspiration to me, my friends and many oher fans in Portugal. I was quite happy to see that you are coming to Portugal but was said to find out it is only to Lisbon. I live in the north, near Porto, and it will be impossible for me, as for many other fans, to be in Lisbon by 20h on a tuesday night. So I am begging to please consider add another date. There are some good venues in Porto (coliseu and casa da musica) and Guimaraes. If not, I can organize a concert in my hometown. I have no idea how much it would cost but me and my friends can make it happen. It would mean the world to me if you could make it happen. I know this is a weird request, I have no big entreprise behind me and I'm only one more fan. But the world is made of dreams and this is one I have. I just wanted to say that your concert in wiesbaden was absolutely fantastic. never saw anything better than that one!! but I was a little bit disappointed of not having had the possibility to buy cds or lps right at or after the show. It definetly would be great if you could find a way to offer your stuff directly at the concerts. by the way....there are no vinyls of you left to buy in stores, which is even worse......from where else should I get lps of you when I don't get them in stores or at concerts??

I have seen tour 2006 on the video. Person who was singing a song (I don't know the name of the song) with the guitar, like an angel! Beautiful! It makes me cry of happy. This was a very intense summer. On July 11th, three important things happened. At 12:00am, I turned eighteen. I had just had a fight with a girl whom I was madly in love with, but for complicated reasons could not be with. I decided to fall asleep listening to Agaetis Byrjun. At 12:33am, I was listening to Staralfur when she came into my bed and told me that she loved me with everything she had. We fell asleep together and it was perfect. Twelve hours later, I received a phone call informing me that one of my closest friends had passed away earlier that morning. I went home and put on ( ). Throughout the ensuing days of extreme happiness and extreme grief, Sigur Ros was with me for the entire journey. I cannot thank you enough. The girl (C) and I decided to purchase Heima and watch it together. So, on one of our last nights together, we did--and everything was simply perfect. Due to reasons outside of our control, C had to return to her country, one seven times zones away from mine. Whenever the pain of missing her is too much, I put on some Sigur Ros and let the pain drift away as I dream of those perfect moments. Thank you.

Not sure who might be listening, but I am greatly discouraged upon finding that the only tickets available to your concert in Portland, OR are those that have been purchased by companies and that are now being sold for $97 and above. I can not afford such tickets and am shocked that there are not more protections against such things. I am disappointed that you have chosen to play at a venue that allows such things to cccur.

I tried to get tickets to the Vancouver show last week, however, the show sold out in 7 minutes! Tickets are now available online from 200$-535$! I am apalled with these private sales and those whose intent is making money off of this show. It's disappointing to know that greed is taking over these individuals, resulting in unaffordable ticket prices. I really wanted to go to the show (and still do) however will not be paying the profiteers.

I just love the new album, so happy to experience it biking to and from work up into the mountains and rainforest. After years of sadly watching profiles on tv about your concerts in some beautiful churches in Toronto/Vancouver, I finally thought I had a chance to see you in Vancouver! My husband was on the laptop at noon waiting and ready to go and the show was sold out in minutes. then within half an hour scalper sites(run by ticketmaster) were selling tickets for hundreds of dollars. This is wrong! Ticketmaster has been under the hot seat over the last few weeks in Canada because of the practice. Fans should be able to buy all the tickets at the set price. I am upset for I wanted to be cascaded with your sonar beauty and sublimeness! Any chance of adding a show in Vancouver? Otherwise we might have to resort to scalp city!

Hi everyone, i listen to Sigur Ros for a long time now (since Agaetis...) and i like them even a bit more than the roundabout 500 artists i also listen to and like. The only band as good as Sigur Ros is (late) Talk Talk in my eyes! Of course, i´ll visit the upcoming tour (Cologne / Germany) and i´m sure it´ll be great again. This time i have a very special wish: i want to hear Fljótavik. I got a serious illness a few years ago and just now it´s getting better. And when it became clear that i can be healthy again the new album came out and when i listened to Fljótavik i cried out in unbelievable joy and i still do almost every time i hear it. To hear this live could bring me to collapse of pleasure, but i would dare it ;-) Also i would like to here songs like All Alright, Vidrar, Glosoli, Heysatan and many more. Indeed they can play what they want, i love it all! But right now Fljótavik most and it will always be one of my favourites of them! Love and best wishes to you all!
